About Me

Hi, I'm Ed Tyler a photographer based in the Lincolnshire Wolds.  My passion is equine photography, wildlife and nature. Capturing images of precious moments shared between horses and their owners and riders is very important to me.  My wife and I have been fortunate enough to share our lives for many years with some amazing horses and we know just how much images of them mean.

My photographic journey started back in the seventies, whilst I was on holiday in Scotland. My father gave me an old box camera which was pretty basic but I was hooked from that moment on.   Over the years I have invested in high end photographic equipment to ensure my images and my work are of the highest quality.  But I will always have fond memories of my old box camera and where it all began.

Since 2004 I have specialised in equine photography. Being both a horse owner and a rider helps me to understand the unique bond that we share with our horses and helps me to capture the very best images.

Moving to the Lincolnshire Wolds in 2014 to have our horses at home  I found myself much closer to beaches that are very popular with horses and riders.  Many horse owners come on holiday with their horses to the beautiful Lincolnshire coast and it's been a privilege and a pleasure to photograph many of them.  Capturing those special timeless moments.

As well as beach photoshoots I  regularly photograph at various equestrian events.  Including showing,  dressage, showjumping, cross country,  one day events and fun rides. On occasion I can also be found at some of the major Horse Trial events in the UK where I work as part of a team of official photographers.

Finally I'm very proud to be the official photographer for the Macmillan Charity Ride in Northamptonshire which my wife started in 2012.  Seeing so many wonderful horses and riders out having fun whilst raising money for Macmillan is a total joy.

Thank you for visiting my About Me page, I hope it's given you a bit of an insight into the person behind the camera.
